Here, we outline what you can expect from us as your builder, and what we ask of you to ensure a successful and timely build.

Builder Responsibilities: Our Commitment to Excellence

At Barwick Developments, we take pride in delivering high-quality homes with a seamless building experience. To achieve this, we commit to the following:

  • Clear, Honest, and Frequent Communication: We believe that open communication is the key to a smooth construction process. From initial consultations to final handovers, we keep you informed every step of the way, ensuring you know the progress of your build.
  • Zero Tolerance of Poor Workmanship: We are committed to the highest standards of craftsmanship. We maintain a zero-tolerance policy for poor workmanship and hold our team and subcontractors to these same rigorous standards, ensuring quality at every stage.
  • Clean and Safe Building Site: A safe, tidy, and organised site is essential for a smooth build. We take the necessary steps to ensure your site is always kept clean and safe for our team and visitors, reducing risks and potential delays.
  • Dedicated Project Manager: To ensure seamless communication and accountability, each new project is assigned a dedicated project manager who oversees every aspect of your build. All communication regarding your project will be directed to this person, ensuring consistency and clarity.

Client Responsibilities: Contributing to a Successful Build

While Barwick Developments handles the technical and logistical side of the build, your role is equally important. To ensure the success of the project and avoid any delays, here are the four key responsibilities we ask from you as a client:

  • Site Visits and Subcontractor Interaction: We ask that you refrain from visiting the building site unless accompanied by the builder or site supervisor. Additionally, we kindly ask that you do not give instructions to our subcontractors, as interference could lead to delays or extra costs that may be your responsibility.
  • Timely Provision of Information: To help the project stay on track, we ask that you provide any requested information within the specified timeframes. Timely responses are essential to maintain progress and avoid unnecessary delays.
  • Acknowledging Communication: If Barwick Developments contacts you via phone or email, we ask that you acknowledge this communication by the end of the next working day. This ensures that we can address your questions and keep the project moving forward efficiently.
  • Understanding Your Contract and Proposal: We ask that you fully understand and agree to the inclusions and exclusions outlined in your builder's proposal. Your proposal will supersede the design plans and specifications, so being clear on what is included in your contract is crucial for a smooth building process.
